Friends of the Cockburn Wetlands Education Centre

 Become a volunteer

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Centre. By joining you help our wetlands, their inhabitants and contribute to their ongoing conservation and restoration.

As a member you may be passive or active in your support.  Benefits include a quarterly electronic newsletter, email invitations to all functions held at the Centre and free use of our reference library.

The Friends are keen birdwatchers and have monitored waterbirds on a quarterly basis since 1996. Key activities of the group include regular bird surveys and assisting the centre with grants.

Flora surveys, seed collecting, selective planting and seeding, weed control, assisting the herbarium, administration, education and working in the nursery are activities undertaken by the Friends in the past. Assistance in these areas is always required.
