PRESIDENT Gordon Coxon
I emigrated to Australia in November 2004. Our only daughter has lived here for the last ten years. I have 2 granddaughters age 4 and 16 months. Needless to say one of the first things I did was to go along to the Beeliar Residents Group meeting to find out what was going on in the area. There was a position vacant on the committee so I put my name forward and was co-opted on. I am in my second year as President. I run the bingo night in the community centre, I am a street representative for the Neighbourhood Watch and feel that this should be pushed forward in the community to make Beeliar a better place to live. Before I came to Australia I was very heavily involved in the local community. For many years I was the chairman of our local members club, the residents group.Car club and the area co-coordinator for Neighbourhood Watch. I was on the local conservation committee. As you can see I like to make a difference in our community and I look forward to meeting new faces at our next meeting.
